A gothic tale of an obsession between a haunted young woman and a monstrous vampire who is infatuated with her, causing unspeakable horror. Willem Dafoe, who plays Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz, previously played the fictional vampire Max Schreck in Shadow of the Vampire (2000), which is almost a remake and fictionalized Look at the backstage of Nosferatu, Symphony in Strave (1922).
