Narrative
The story of three young girls trying to hold together when they are trapped in a sea cave filled with crashing waves, hundreds of sea lions, and monstrous elephant seals. First of all, I have to give a huge shout out to the director, screenwriter, and actors.
And my whole family enjoyed the movie
About 20 minutes in, I said, “This movie seems like it was written, directed, and filmed by these three girls.” And it turns out I was almost 100% right. My two youngest children, 5 and 7, found it a little too intense at times, and they got so caught up in the characters’ lives that they rightfully worried about the girls’ safety.
A movie like that would be very difficult
Working with young actors on the water and in the wild would be so difficult. While the movie is a little cheesy at times, it was still well done.
Kudos to the actors
The Schmidt family has our full support. I hope that making this film didn’t break you and make you lose interest in making more films, because I’m sure it became a labor of love towards the end.
